Sizzlereel

The video to the left is a sizzlereel of my FMP music video. I used a number of clips that resemble what I am trying to make and so it gives off the same feel to it through out. I want the video to have a very surreal look and feel to it. Which I believe the use of paint will help because this gives me more of an opportunity to experiment with colour theory. I can use the colours to make the audience feel emotions that the song is trying to get across. The effects I've used in this video I feel also help to add to the style I am trying to create.

The file to the right is a mood board for my video. It contains a number of images that tie to my project. I chose a number of images from music videos that also use paint as their concept along with pictures of street art I have taken that are what are inspiring me for my work and I think will suit my work and the style I am going for. The reason I chose mostly images instead of text for my mood board is because I want to have the film have the feeling of a painting. My originally idea was for at any point of the film you can pause it and it will resemble a painting, if I use still images instead of anything else it resembles that feeling better than text or moving footage.

The file to the left is a story board I created using image from the internet to best suit the style I am aiming for. I talked about length of time these will be on screen but this isn't final until the footage is taken and I am able to edit it together. The reason a story board is important because it allows the director to have the story of the film in their recent memory which means it will be easier for the film maker to create the video in their original idea. This helps to make the filming process easier and smoother.

The file to the right is the schedule for my final major project. I wrote about what my schedule should be like until the end of the project. I wrote about when I will be researching about my project, when I will be doing production work as well and when I will be doing editing, filming and post production. My schedule takes me up to the very last day until the project is due in. So if I do follow the schedule closely it'll make it extremely close for me. It also seems easy to fall behind with the work so I will need to work on the weekends more and I will also need to do at least one hour and thirty mins of journal entry each day to remain on target and keep the same level of quality throughout.

Location Recce and Risk Assessment

The image to the right is the location recce for my music video. Because most of the filming was done in a studio for the reasoning that the studio is easier to control and is easier to work and know all the colours in thee frame. So by filming in the film and TV studio I could easily get the look I want. It was also close to editing soft ware which made re shoots a lot easier. Along with being close to a food source for the comfort of people working behind the scenes and actors. We also had medical staff near by because I was filming at college which made the risk of a paint related issues being very minimum. The only concern was the clean up with paint but by bring in blankets it would get rid of the issue.

A risk assessment is highly important because it ensures the safety of everyone working on the project. Also with everyone being aware of the risks and the risks to the equipment. The events that could happen are less likely because everyone is aware what it is and are going out of their way by taking extra steps to ensure everything is working well. The main issues and safety hazard was the use of paint. I used paint in all of the scenes for my music video. Having someone eat the paint would result in them becoming extremely ill but by taking steps such as making sure everyone is sensible around the paint this small hazard becomes harmless. Another issue was the paint making contact with the filming equipment which had a high chance of happening. But making sure it is kept a safe distance away from the paint makes this issue even less likely especially if the people/ person using the equipment are aware of what they are doing and are being safe around the paint.
