Task 1

 My Five Year Plan

This is my plan for the next five years. I will be looking at what’s possible and what I am hoping to happen. For the rest of this year and the next I want to still be studying at Bridgwater and Taunton College. For the rest of this year I will be finishing my 5 year plan, making a music video with a client we found from Instagram, we are also going to be doing our final major which mine I am planning to do a short horror movie. During the second year we will be doing a documentary and doing a level higher of work until the final major next year. During this time I am hoping to get more experience with editing, filming and understanding how to find jobs within the future. After I leave college I will be looking into further education within film making. Such as signing onto another course or going into university so I can study more about film making and get the qualification I need to go into a job and not have to start low down and work my way up but currently I am more interested with finding work after college and starting my way from the bottom. In two years’ time I will be looking for jobs and making money, what I hopefully will be doing is doing small jobs I find on "indeed" and working at other places until I make enough experience and content to have a portfolio mostly around horror and my directing. So I can try to work with the production company Crypt TV. These people I am very eager to work with, they make and upload short horror films to their YouTube channel, which suits my way of making films perfectly. Because I enjoy making small horror films. They also upload others films and if I can I will send them one or two well-made ones in the hope they will upload them. If I am able to get hired by them which is something I want to happen, I'll most likely have to move to their HQ in LA in America to do work with them in person. So that is something what'll take a couple of years to set up but I'm hoping to work with them in anyway shape or form but even with article 13 and with Crypt TV mostly being on YouTube they won't lose any europium viewers because they only upload content they have full rights to. Other jobs I could get is sending scripts to the theater in Minehead and look into getting a directory role there because they are all very close together and everyone who works their knows each other and it will be easy to get into it and good experience as well. Moving to America to learn film making is another way of getting experience but I dint know much about uni or college currently and I will most likely look into it in more detail next year. Channel 4 is also moving to Plymouth which is near and is worth looking into an apprenticeship there to gain more experience, I can look into making promo video for people I know who own businesses or for people on Indeed. I can make music videos for people I know as well and for anyone on soudcloud who is interested because you can go to discover in sound cloud and message new artist to see if they are interested into letting me make them a music video. So hopefully by the end of the 5 years I will be working with Crypt TV but I am aware it could take longer than that to have everything set up but for the next few years I will be looking into making a decent horror portfolio and developing new skills. I could also start by sending them horror movies while I'm studying at college or University to see if I can start to get an apprenticeship straight after college. The Job at Crypt TV could also lead to other jobs within american and they will hopefully be more high profile than any one I could get here in somerset but I am aware that might not happen working for crypt TV but either way my plan is to move to america and hopefully get into the industry that way by breaking out and making contact but that will be longer than 5 years in the future if I do this route.
